چکیده

Summary At the time of description, morphology Ptychaphelenchus eucalypticola Hodda, 2009 indicated it could be assigned to either Aphelenchoididae Skarbilovich, 1947 (Paramonov, 1953) or Parasitaphelenchidae Ruehm, 1956 (Siddiqi, 1980) within Aphelenchoidoidea 1980). Although P. was, tentatively, and remains Aphelenchoididae, its relationships with other aphelenchoids have not been reassessed, no molecular data were previously available for this species. We re-collected from type host locality, Eucalyptus macrorhyncha F. Muell. ex Benth., Mount Ainslie, ACT, Australia. performed Bayesian inference maximum likelihood analyses a concatenated 18S + 28S rDNA gene sequence dataset determine position Aphelenchoidoidea, followed by single-gene further assess between species an expanded set close relatives. All is correctly in clade comprising all Ficophagus Davies & Bartholomaeus, 2015 some presently Aphelenchoides Fisher, 1894, sister Martininema additional . Our did resolve relative ; however, our relationship This plausible as former shares many characteristics latter genus; there are sufficient morphological differences consider representative distinct lineage Aphelenchoidoidea.

Phylogenetic position of Acoel turbellarians inferred from partial 18S rDNA sequences.

Primitive platyhelminths, especially Acoel turbellarians, are thought to be key to understanding the origin and evolution of metazoa. In order to infer their phylogenetic position within the phylum Platyhelminths, we determined and compared the complete nucleotide sequence of a region of about 750 base pairs in the central part of an 18S rDNA for ten turbellarians, including two species of the ...

Internal phylogeny of the Chilopoda (Myriapoda, Arthropoda) using complete 18S rDNA and partial 28S rDNA sequences.

The internal phylogeny of the 'myriapod' class Chilopoda is evaluated for 12 species belonging to the five extant centipede orders, using 18S rDNA complete gene sequence and 28S rDNA partial gene sequence data. Equally and differentially weighted parsimony, neighbour-joining and maximum-likelihood were used for phylogenetic reconstruction, and bootstrapping and branch support analyses were perf...

Phylogenetic Relationships Among Xiphinema and Xiphidorus Nematode Species from Brazil Inferred from 18S rDNA Sequences.

Maximum likelihood trees produced from 18S rDNA sequences separated 14 Xiphinema and five Xiphidorus nematode species from Brazil into distinct groups that concurred with their current morphological taxonomic status. Species belonging to the X. americanum group (X. brevicolle, X. diffusum, X. oxycaudatum, and X. peruvianum) formed a single group that was clearly separated from the other Xiphine...

Phylogenetic position of yeast-like symbiotes of rice planthoppers based on partial 18S rDNA sequences.

The rice planthoppers, Nilaparvata lugens, Sogatella furcifera, and Laodelphax striatellus, harbor intracellular yeast-like symbiotes (YLS) in the fat body. The YLS are obligated endosymbiotes and are transovarially inherited. Nucleotide sequences of the 18S rRNA genes from the YLS were analyzed by direct sequencing. The YLS of the three species of planthoppers were monophyletic and their taxon...

Phylogenetic relationships among higher Nemertean (Nemertea) Taxa inferred from 18S rDNA sequences.

We estimated the phylogenetic relationships of 15 nemertean (phylum Nemertea) species from the four subclasses Hoplo-, Hetero-, Palaeo-, and Bdellonemertea with 18S rDNA sequence data. Three outgroup taxa were used for rooting: Annelida, Platyhelminthes, and Mollusca. Parsimony and maximum-likelihood analyses supported the monophyletic status of the Heteronemertea and a taxon consisting of hopl...
